The University of Ottawa (uOttawa) reached out to us to be a part of their Spring Open House on March 19th 2016. Some of the activities that took place were an information fair, faculty guided tours, presentations, demonstrations, and of course contests like a draw to win a $1000 admission scholarship!
To help engage attendees and amplify the University’s social media presence, we provided the Hashtag Station to monitor and print branded photos tagged with #DiscoveruOttawa and #DécouvrezuOttawa. As guests used their own devices to take photos and tagged them on Instagram and Twitter they were automatically eligible to win prizes and also they got to take home some unique branded photo keepsakes because we printed their pictures! Those who didn’t have a smartphone could use our photo booth and upload their photos to Instagram or Twitter with our social media kiosk!
This was a great way to engage guests and get them to talk about the University on social media. We are extremely happy that we were able to help them in their campaign and we hope to be part of it again next year!
